As Rohit Sharma made a statement hundred in Sydney to conclude India’s tour of Australia, magician and mind reader Naman Anand shared an amusing video, where he is seen playing a trick with the India opener. Leaving our very own Hitman stunned, Anand perfectly guessed a name reverberating in his mind.
In a video titled ‘I read Rohit Sharma’s mind’, one can see the mind reader asking Rohit to repeat a name in his head at a party where a group of friends, including TV anchors Samir Kochhar, Gaurav Kapoor and fellow India cricketer Shreyas Iyer, as well as former India batting coach Abhishek Nayar, are present.
Mind Reader’s Perfect Trick On Rohit Sharma
After asking Rohit to stand up and taking a name, Anand guessed, “You haven’t spoken to this person recently, right?” To which Rohit nodded in approval. “Please look in front, stay relaxed”, the mind reader then tells the India great, requesting him to take his hands out of his pockets.
Carrying a wide grin on his face, Rohit followed the instructions and then again repeated the name of the person in his mind. As Anand looked closely, Rohit humourously said, “main bol raha hun (I’m saying)”, while onlookers laughed.
The mind reader then noted down a name on his mobile phone and showed it to everyone else present inside the room, requesting them not to reveal it. Later, the magician asked Rohit to openly take the name and showed him the note on the phone, leaving the cricket stalwart shocked. Yes, it was the exact same name, ‘Azaan’.
Trick On Rohit Sharma Amuses Internet Users
The trick played on him left Rohit surprised while everyone else applauded the magician for perfectly guessing the name. It also got the opener’s fans on social media ticking as they came up with funny remarks.
“Agar Rohit Bhai yahi bhul jaate ki unhone kya naam socha hai toh (what if Rohit had forgotten who he had originally thought of),” quipped an individual, referring to Rohit’s infamous tendency to forget things.
Someone else said, “Lagta hai Shreyas Iyer ko trick pta hai (I think Shreyas Iyer knows the trick).”
‘Commentary mein bowlers ka dimaag padh k bata do,” a person said. “Who is Azaan?” a comment read.
“Rohit bhaiya aap India ki Aan Ban aur jaan ho yaar (You are the pride of India, Rohit),” said an admirer after the class player produced a masterful hundred in the final ODI at SCG to help India conclude the series 1-2 after losing in Perth and Adelaide.
For Rohit, it was an important series as his knocks of 73 and 121* in the last two games proved there is much cricket still left in the extraordinary right-hander amid constant debate on his age as India build towards the 2027 ICC World Cup.
