Actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi have found a new home — not on television or film sets, but on YouTube. What began as Archana’s lighthearted lockdown videos has now grown into a full-fledged family channel, “AAAP Ka Parivaar,” with nearly a million subscribers. From casual banter to food tastings and family chats, the couple and their sons, Ayushmaan and Aaryaman, invite viewers into their everyday life — and people can’t seem to get enough.

But according to Parmeet, their YouTube journey isn’t just about creative satisfaction — it’s also financially rewarding. In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor revealed that vlogging could actually be more profitable than traditional acting work. “If we decide to make this our full-time career, it’ll pay us at least three times more than what films and television together pay us,” he said.

Parmeet explained that the shift towards digital content is changing the entertainment industry fast. “OTT platforms are trying to replace television, and to do that, they are lowering their standards,” he said candidly. “This doesn’t make me happy — though there are a few exceptions.”

He also shared his thoughts on the future of television, hinting at its possible decline. “There are chances television could fade out, except for news and live sports,” Parmeet said, adding that even those genres are now being taken over by streaming platforms.

Calling this “the era of vlogging,” he explained how audiences today prefer raw, unfiltered content. “This kind of entertainment is very personal and democratic. It’s real life — not something produced or scripted. A lot of people are gravitating towards that.”

For Parmeet, YouTube isn’t just a side hustle — it’s a lasting investment. “We are like a life insurance company — YouTube keeps paying us the premium throughout our lives,” he joked. Still, he admitted that while the earnings are tempting, constant content creation comes with an emotional cost. “You need to be shameless, careless, and fearless to do something like that. People’s reactions can start affecting you.”

Despite the challenges, it’s clear the Comedy Circus judge and her husband have struck a rare balance — blending creativity, family, and profit in a way few from Bollywood have managed.
