Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently introduced their baby daughter Dua to the world for the first time. Deepika has also announced that she is now in her mom era. The actress, who has been in the headlines for her work since a long time now, is embracing motherhood and the joys and challenges that come with it.
Some time back, Deepika Padukone even changed her Instagram display photo to a picture of a custom T-shirt that said, “In my mom era.” Deepika is going all out now to express the joys of motherhood. Have a look at her new display photo here:
New-mom Deepika Padukone recently spoke to CNBC-TV18 about how motherhood has changed her. Deepika is a mother to baby Dua, and the actress thinks this is her best role yet. Deepika mentioned that while she had always been a patient person, motherhood renewed her patience and even made her more social.
Deepika Padukone said, “I’ve always been a patient person, but my tolerance levels now are… It pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you a social person; I’ve never been a social person. Having to interact with other parents, and now playschool. Motherhood just pushes you out of your comfort zone, in a good way. I’ve always wanted to be a mother, and now I’m playing my best role.”
Previously, Deepika Padukone attended a Forbes event in Abu Dhabi and opened up about balancing being a new mother and a working woman. Deepika Padukone said, “I think motherhood in itself has been so incredible that I’m sure somewhere, if not consciously, subconsciously, it will influence the kind of movies and the roles that I choose to do moving forward. Having said that, I do believe that I’ve been pretty aware and conscious even before motherhood.”
“I think where I’m at in my life right now is how do I manage my time as a mother, as a new mother, with getting back to–and I’m sure there’s some incredible women here who can give me some wise, some wisdom, whatever– but to be able manage my daughter and her life and getting back to work without feeling guilt. I think that is something I’m figuring out. I won’t say I am struggling with, but I’m still figuring it out,” she added.
Deepika welcomed her first child, daughter Dua, with husband Ranveer Singh in September 2024. Despite stepping back from a few projects, the actress continues to maintain a strong presence in the industry. She was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. Up next, Deepika will reunite with Shah Rukh Khan for King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
