Neil Nitin Mukesh recently gave a virtual tour of his elegant 2BHK Mumbai apartment, which primarily serves as his office space. While the actor lives in another home in the city, he often spends time here for work and relaxation. Designed by Neil himself, the apartment blends contemporary style with comfort. The place features self-conceptualised interiors, an exotic African marble wall and a sleek mini bar in the master bedroom.
Entrance inspired by Vastu
The entrance is beautifully set up with a Ganesh idol and other deities placed against a calming water wall, following Vastu principles. Neil, who believes strongly in positive home energy, said, “I believe that your vibrations start from the entrance of the house. A water feature in the house is considered very auspicious.” The actor, a Shiv bhakt, wanted his home to radiate positive vibes.
In a chat with Pinkvilla, Neil revealed that he personally designed the interiors. The living room stands out with exposed brick walls, a cement finish, and a matte wooden ceiling. “There’s no paint on the walls. We live near the sea, and I wanted to avoid dampness,” he explained. The actor has divided the living area into two sections and added a cream-coloured dining table. The hall also features a seven-speaker setup for an immersive music experience.
The African marble wall
The highlight of the apartment is Neil Nitin Mukesh’s favourite corner – a stunning wall made of rare African tiger onyx marble. This piece acts as a statement decor element.
Neil uses this apartment as a workspace and a spot to host small gatherings. “I was not going away from the house; actually, we were making a home for all of us somewhere. This dream my mother had before me,” he shared, reflecting on how personal the project was for his family.
Mini bar in the master bedroom
The master bedroom feels straight out of a luxury hotel, with crisp white linens, soft pillows and grey-toned walls. A compact mini bar in the room adds a chic, modern touch. The overall palette, neutral shades of grey and brown, keeps the space calm and sophisticated. The guest bedroom follows a similar design language while offering refreshing views of the greenery outside.
A perfect balance of style and spirituality
Every detail in Neil Nitin Mukesh’s apartment reflects his faith in Vastu Shastra. From the layout to the placement of idols, the design balances spirituality with modern living. His Mumbai apartment is not just about aesthetics – it is a thoughtfully crafted space that mirrors his personality and peaceful approach to life.
