The actor recently opened up about how his relationship with Sobhita Dhulipala started with a simple emoji — and how that digital spark turned into a real-life love story. Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala surprised fans last year when they shared pictures from their engagement in August, followed by a dreamy December wedding at Annapurna Studios — a venue built by Chaitanya’s grandfather, the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Appearing on Jagapathi Babu’s ZEE5 talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, Chaitanya shared that Instagram brought him and Sobhita together. “We met on Instagram. I never imagined I would meet my partner there. I was familiar with her work. One day, when I posted about Shoyu (his cloud kitchen), she commented with an emoji. I began chatting with her, and soon after, we met,” Chaitanya said, smiling.
