Rajat Bedi clarified rumours of being removed from Salman Khan’s Radhe, revealing the superstar wanted him to do only big, deserving roles and not smaller parts

Rajat Bedi clarified rumours of being removed from Salman Khan’s Radhe.
Rajat Bedi recently made his grand comeback as Jigar Saxena in Aryan Khan’s debut series Ba***ds of Bollywood. But before this, he was set to return to the big screen with Salman Khan’s Radhe. However, that didn’t materialise, and after a few of his recent interviews surfaced, an impression circulated that Salman had removed Rajat from Radhe. Now, the actor has cleared the air and revealed why Salman didn’t let him do a small role in his film.
In a fresh chat with Instant Bollywood, he shared, “Isko please media mein galat tarike se mat dalo. Salman bhai ne na mujhe nikala hai, na hi mujhe kuch galat bola hai. Salman bhai aur mera bohot pyar hai — he treats me like a bachcha; he even knows my family. Jab Salman bhai Radhe bana rahe the, tab unke office se mujhe phone aaya tha jab Seeti Maar wala gaana shoot ho raha tha. (Please don’t portray this wrongly in the media. Salman bhai neither removed me nor said anything bad to me. There’s a lot of love between us — he treats me like a kid and even knows my family. When Salman bhai was making Radhe, his office had called me when the song Seeti Maar was being shot.)”
“Salman bhai ne mujhe wahan dekha aur pucha, ‘Tu yahan kya kar raha hai?’ Maine bola, ‘Aapke production house ne bulaya hai mujhe, mere liye koi role hai.’ Main Radhe karne ke liye bohot excited bhi tha, but Bhai was very sweet and gracious. Unhone mujhe kaha, ‘Tu ye kaam nahi karega, you are not deserving of such roles. Tere liye main kuch aur better launga, kuch badiya karega tu, par chhota kaam nahi karna.’ (Salman bhai saw me there and asked, ‘What are you doing here?’ I told him, ‘Your production house called me; there’s a role for me.’ I was very excited to be a part of Radhe, but Bhai was very sweet and gracious. He told me, ‘You’re not doing this role. You’re not meant for such small parts. I’ll bring you something better — something bigger. Don’t do small roles.’)” Rajat Bedi further added.
