Actress Zayn Marie Khan, who won hearts with her performances in Monica, O My Darling and Made In Heaven, has just shared the most heartwarming father-daughter video on the internet and fans are absolutely loving it. The actress took to Instagram to post a candid moment featuring her father, filmmaker Mansoor Khan, and the clip is pure joy from start to finish.
The video opens with a text overlay that reads, “Imagine calling me mentally ill for being expressive.” As the line flashes on screen, Mansoor Khan can be seen sneaking into the frame from behind the door, trying to tease his daughter. What follows next is an adorable exchange that has melted hearts online.
Mansoor Khan, known for directing cult classics like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, breaks into a playful dance, teasing Zayn as she films him. Trying to hold back laughter, Zayn can be heard warning him, “This goes on the Internet!” To which Mansoor, without missing a beat, cheekily replies, “I’ll be popular!”
Meanwhile, another text overlay screen reads, “But I just grew up with a joyous family.”
Sharing the video, Zayn wrote, “My abbu raising the bar for fathers and men everywhere, thank you for bringing me up silly and goofy, Abbyyy.”
Zayn Marie On Becoming an Actress
Marie, earlier in a chat with Hindustan Times, said that it was tricky for her to convince her father. He said, “Once I made up my mind and told my family about it, the most apprehensive among them was my dad. He’s such a sweetheart he couldn’t sleep that whole night and came knocking to my room at 3 am. He was like, ‘No qualms if you want to be an actor, problem is the fame issues it brings along.
If you promise nothing will change and you wouldn’t let things get into your head, you can surely go ahead.’ So that has been my guiding point and I have solely been concentrating on my work and am enjoying the process of acting.”
Zayn Marie made her acting debut with Mrs Serial Killer alongside Jacqueline Fernandez. She was later seen alongside Monica, O My Darling alongside Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte. She also has some popular web series like Feels Like Ishq, Made In Heaven and Illegal – Justice, Out Of Court to her credit.
