Abhishek Bachchan trolls Shoaib Akhtar.
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan recently responded with humour after former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar mistakenly mentioned him instead of Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma during a television discussion on Pakistan’s Asia Cup final chances.
Shoaib Akhtar’s On-Air Slip
During the cricket talk show Game On Hai, Shoaib Akhtar was analysing Pakistan’s prospects against India when he said, “If Pakistan get Abhishek Bachchan out early on in a hypothetical situation, then what is going to happen with the middle-order? Their middle-order hasn’t performed well.”
The panel quickly corrected him, explaining that he meant Abhishek Sharma, the young Indian opener who has impressed with consecutive half-centuries. The amusing mix-up, however, instantly went viral online, prompting laughter from the show’s host and other guests.

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Final Preview
The final is scheduled to take place in Dubai on 28 September. India enters the match as the tournament favourite, remaining unbeaten so far. Key contributors include opener Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav, who currently leads the wicket charts. However, India’s fielding has raised concerns, with 12 dropped catches reported under Dubai’s challenging “ring of fire” floodlights.
Pakistan secured their spot in the final after a narrow 11-run victory against Bangladesh. Their bowling, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, remains strong, but the team’s inconsistent middle-order continues to be a source of worry.
