Taylor Swift is turning her next album launch into a cinematic celebration. The global superstar will release Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl in theaters across the U.S. and internationally on October 3–5, 2025, coinciding with the arrival of her highly anticipated 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The special event, running 89 minutes, will screen in all 540 AMC Theatres locations along with thousands of other venues including Cinemark and Regal, ensuring a wide reach for fans eager to celebrate. Screenings begin simultaneously across time zones at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT on opening day.
Music Video Premiere And Exclusive Content
At the heart of the release party is the world premiere of the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” the first single from Swift’s new record. Alongside the debut video, fans will also see behind-the-scenes footage from its making, lyric videos for other album tracks, and personal reflections from Swift herself, offering a rare glimpse into her creative process.
AMC confirmed that this event differs from regular screenings: fans are encouraged to sing and dance during the show. However, the theater chain also reminded attendees to avoid standing on seats or blocking aisles, ensuring everyone can enjoy the immersive experience.

Tickets are priced at $12 for the three-day theatrical run — a number Swift intentionally embraced for its significance to her Showgirl era. Though 13 has long been known as her lucky number, this project marks her 12th studio album with 12 songs, making “12″ the symbolic choice.
Sales opened at 12:12 p.m. ET on the announcement day, with AMC ticketing available through amctheatres.com and additional venues selling via releasepartyofashowgirl.com. Given Swift’s history of selling out events instantly, fans were quick to secure their spots for the limited screenings.
International Rollout And Album Buzz
The Showgirl party will also play in over a hundred countries. Several territories, including Canada, Mexico, the U.K., France, Germany, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the Nordics, will share the same Oct. 3–5 release window. Other regions will follow later in October, with dates set to be revealed around the global premiere.
On social media, Swift teased that the program will feature “cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music,” while also encouraging fans that “dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”
