Bigg Boss 19 has turned into a confessional stage for music composer Amaal Mallik, who is winning attention not just for his gameplay but for his heartfelt revelations inside the house. Known for wearing his emotions on his sleeve, Amaal recently spoke about the struggles that shaped his journey — from his mother’s pain during pregnancy to the professional rivalry between his father, Daboo Mallik, and uncle, Anu Malik.

Amaal Mallik on His Mother’s Struggles

In a candid conversation with fellow contestant Baseer Ali, Amaal recalled the emotional and physical hardships his mother endured while carrying him. Living in a joint family, she often faced undue pressure and exhausting responsibilities. “Meri mom ko bahut kuch sunaya gaya when she was pregnant with me; they used to make her work a lot, as she was living in a joint family. One day, she just smashed her hand on a cupboard in anger. She went through all this to make us reach where we are today,” Amaal revealed.

He further admitted that the trauma his mother experienced left a deep imprint on him, something he describes as “womb trauma.” For Amaal, those early struggles became the foundation of his resilience.

Rivalries Between Daboo Mallik and Anu Malik

Opening up about his father’s professional challenges, Amaal shared how the rivalry with his uncle, Anu Malik, took an emotional toll on the family. His father, Daboo Mallik, struggled to find recognition for his work despite being talented.

Recalling a painful memory, Amaal said, “I saw my father in a helpless situation, taking confidence pills after years of letting him (uncle) do whatever he was doing; my dad was called to the studio to record a song. Cut to my father going to a music shop at Yari Road, and the song which my father had recorded was playing in that place in Udit Narayan’s voice.”

Amaal revealed that his father later discovered the track was from a three-year-old film. “He (Anu Malik) just called my dad for a mock recording. He muted Udit ji’s voice, made my father record on it, and made him feel as if he was getting a new chance,” he added.

Why Amaal Mallik Calls Himself a Warrior

Despite the painful family experiences, Amaal believes they shaped him into who he is today. Acknowledging both his parents’ struggles and sacrifices, he reflected on how their resilience became his inheritance. “Everything my parents faced has made me stronger. I call myself a warrior because I’ve been fighting battles from birth,” he said with conviction.
