Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, the new fiction drama, continues to stir anticipation with its powerful storyline and strong cast. Headlined by Shubhangi Latkar as Ganga Mai, the show is an emotional and empowering narrative that celebrates womanhood, family and resilience. It depicts the inspiring journey of Ganga Mai, a woman abandoned by her husband for not bearing a son.
Refusing to let societal judgements define her, Ganga Mai raises her three daughters—Sahana (Srishti Jain), Sneha (Amandeep Sidhu) and Soni (Vaishnavi Prajapati) with unyielding strength, dignity and compassion.
Sheizaan Khan joins Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan
Now, the latest addition to the ensemble is actor Sheizaan Khan, who is set to play the intense and emotionally layered character. Sheizaan Khan takes on the role of Siddhant, aka Siddhu, a rowdy yet misunderstood moneylender from Banaras. Rugged in appearance and known for his rough and intimidating demeanour, Siddhu is deeply loyal and emotional at heart, especially when it comes to his mother, whose every wish he holds sacred.
Though he lacks formal education, Siddhu commands respect and fear from the power he wields through his mother’s money-lending business. However, beneath this rowdy persona lies a man guided by fairness, empathy and an unexpectedly tender heart.
Sheizaan Khan’s character falls in love
Siddhu’s life takes a dramatic turn when he falls in love at first sight with Sneha (played by Amandeep Sidhu). Her courage, kindness and inner strength remind him of the qualities he admires most in his mother, drawing him to her instantly.

Excited about his new role, Sheezan told The Times Of India, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be back on the channel, it truly feels like a homecoming for me because this is where I began my journey with Jodha Akbar.
On playing Siddhu in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, he said, “It has been a beautiful and challenging experience. On the surface, he may look like a rowdy moneylender, but what drew me in was his innocence and the way his entire world revolves around his mother. That emotion is so pure, so real and it gave me an instant connection.”
“As an actor, I find it fulfilling to portray characters with contrasting shades and Siddhu has plenty. He’s feared by people, yet he can melt in a moment of love. His bond with Sneha is that of love at first sight. For me, Siddhu is not just a role, he’s a layered, heartfelt journey and I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring him alive in a show that celebrates resilience and grounded women,” he added.
