Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, who once shared one of Hollywood’s strongest friendships, are reportedly no longer close. According to reports, the two stars have drifted apart after the pop singer’s name was involved in Lively’s legal issue with Justin Baldoni. Sources claim Lively has now accepted that her friendship with Swift has come to an end. The Lover singer is focusing on her personal life with fiance Travis Kelce.
Reports suggest that Blake is aware she won’t be part of Swift’s upcoming wedding plans. A source even shared that the conversations about the wedding, which would have been natural in the past, are now completely absent. It Ends With Us star no longer talks about Swift and has stopped thinking about their past friendship.
Blake Lively Moves On From the Past
A source close to Blake Lively told Daily Mail, “This is something that we would’ve talked about in the past, like what was going to happen, if she was going to be in the wedding, what that would look like. All of that. But now, it’s just silence. There’s no ‘will she or won’t she’ about Blake being in the wedding, because she just won’t. She knows that, and I don’t think she particularly wants to talk about that.”
Taylor Swift had reportedly ignored multiple attempts by Blake Lively to reconnect through texts, calls and emails. After trying to reach out without any response, Lively has now decided to stop making any effort. Sources say she feels there is no reason to contact Swift at this moment and that her focus is on more important things in her life. She has chosen to move on rather than force a conversation that isn’t going to happen.
Taylor Swift Prepared To Testify If Needed
Swift’s name has come up in the ongoing legal case between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Although she might be asked to give a statement, her lawyer has made it clear that she does not want to be involved. As per previous People reports, Swift’s team said she has no real connection to the case and has never agreed to take part. They only recently learned that she might be called to give a deposition.
While the singer is not involved in the dispute and plays no part in the arguments, her lawyer confirmed that if required, she’s ready to testify during the week of October 20.
