Teja Sajja’s fantasy adventure Mirai is flying off the screens, proving that the young actor’s latest release has captured audience imagination. Released on September 12, the film has shown promising momentum at the box office, winning over fans across Telugu and Hindi markets. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Mirai opened with Rs 13 crore on Day 1 and saw a sharp 11.54% growth on Day 2, earning Rs 14.5 crore. With this, the two-day total in India stands at Rs 27.5 crore, indicating solid word-of-mouth traction.
Strong Performances in Telugu Markets
The film performed best in its home territory, achieving an overall 71.57% occupancy in Telugu theatres on Saturday. Morning shows recorded 62.97% occupancy, afternoon shows 80.93%, evening shows 70.81%, and night shows 70.81%. The highest attendance was in Mahbubnagar, showing regional fans are flocking to theatres. Meanwhile, the Hindi market recorded an overall occupancy of 18.92%, showing potential for growth in non-Telugu territories.
Mirai vs HanuMan: Early Comparisons
Teja Sajja’s previous hit HanuMan had collected Rs 8.05 crore on Day 1 and Rs 12.45 crore on Day 2, indicating that Mirai’s start is slightly stronger, reflecting growing anticipation for the young actor’s work.
