Abijit Ganguly slammed Mumbai authorities over worsening traffic.
Stand-up comedian Abijit Ganguly slammed the authorities as the traffic management situation in the city worsened. He took to X to slam the management, saying if they can impose lockdown and ban currencies overnight, they can very well manage the city’s traffic as well.
While taking to X, Abijit wrote, “Mumbai is becoming just tougher to live in every passing day. Have literally seen the deterioration of this city in the past few years. Never thought I’d say this, but even though I’m a Delhiite, I actually miss the days when ‘Dilli se aaya hai kya’ used to be an insult on Mumbai roads.”

He further continued and shared, “Now traffic management is chaos, traffic sense is gone, roads are full of potholes, drainage is a figment of imagination, public transport like buses are being made lesser, everything is just getting worse. Sure shot way to have a major traffic snarl is to place the present-day traffic constables there, who really seem they have no idea about traffic management.”
“And pls don’t give me the ‘people don’t have civic sense’ argument, that’s just bollocks and everything comes down to authorities. If authorities could implement a lockdown and overnight banning of notes, then if the intent is there, authorities can manage traffic for sure. We have to stop this self/victim-blaming mentality,” he concluded.
Rupali Ganguly Slammed BMC
Earlier today, Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly too took a dig at BMC after being stuck for hours in severe traffic congestion on her way to the Film City set in Goregaon, Mumbai.
What normally is a 1-hour drive turned into a 2.5-hour ordeal due to metro construction. Rupali shared a video on her Instagram story slamming the management. The actress in the video was seen saying that she had been stuck in traffic for over 50 minutes because the authorities decided to take giant containers during peak hours and also advised that this is something which should have been done in the late hours to avoid such situations.
She also accused the BMC of taking the public for granted and overlooking such day-to-day problems. While sharing the note, Rupali wrote, “Stuck for over 1 hour now!!! @my_bmc you are the most disorganised and literally the pits! Stop taking the public for granted.”
