Fans of Saiyaara want Netflix to release the uncut version after a viral deleted scene featuring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday surfaced online.
Saiyaara, which marked Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Bollywood debut, released on July 18
Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Saiyaara continues to spark conversations months after its theatrical release. The film not only turned newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda into overnight stars but also emerged as one of the year’s biggest hits. Grossing over Rs 570 crore globally, it now stands among the top five films of 2025.
The buzz has returned with a never-before-seen deleted scene surfacing online, just days before Saiyaara is expected to drop on Netflix on September 12. While the official streaming announcement is awaited, fans are already demanding that the uncut version be released on OTT.
The Deleted Scene That Has Fans Talking
The scene, featuring Aneet Padda’s character Vaani Batra, takes place after she is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Vaani leaves the city for Manali, reminiscing about her cherished moments with Krish Kapoor, played by Ahaan Panday. In a heartwarming flashback, she recalls their peaceful time together in Alibaug.
Although the emotional sequence never made it to the theatrical cut, its appearance on social media has reignited fan passion. Many argue that removing Aneet’s solo performance from the final edit deprived audiences of experiencing her full range as an actress.
One fan commented on X, “So many scenes of Aneet’s solo performance were cut, and it’s really disappointing. A talented actress like her deserved much more screen time, and taking that away feels like a huge injustice to both her and the audience.” Another wrote, “Netflix you just have one job to do… please give me all the uncut scenes in OTT.”
Netizens Celebrate 50 Days of Saiyaara
The deleted scene’s buzz coincides with Saiyaara completing 50 successful days in theatres on September 5. Both Ahaan and Aneet took to Instagram to share an emotional note with fans, thanking them for their unwavering support.
“Today marks 50 days of a film that brought us to the world and the world to us,” the duo wrote, adding that the love they received proved that “honesty and love are more powerful than anything else in this world.”
The heartfelt message only strengthened the film’s connection with its audience, who continue to celebrate the on-screen chemistry of “Krishvaani,” as fans fondly call the lead pair. Another viral reaction read, “The way Ahneet are portraying Krishvaani’s emotions so damnn realllll.”
With Netflix streaming around the corner, expectations are higher than ever. Fans hope that the digital release will include the deleted sequences, giving them a chance to relive the love story in its entirety. Whether or not the uncut version makes it to OTT, Saiyaara has already etched its place as a cultural phenomenon of 2025.
