Air India is operating one Delhi–Dubai return flight on March 15, while four of the five planned Dubai flights have been cancelled. Air India Express is also operating one Delhi–Dubai return flight, with five of its six planned Dubai flights cancelled.
All five Air India Express flights to Abu Dhabi have been cancelled.
For Sharjah, Air India Express plans to operate flights connecting the emirate with Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram. The airlines said the flights will operate subject to slot availability and prevailing conditions at the time of operation. Passengers booked on cancelled or temporarily suspended services may rebook for a future date at no additional charge or opt for a full refund.
The curtailment follows the airlines’ operations on March 14, when Air India and Air India Express together operated scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region, including services to destinations such as Jeddah and Muscat.
On that day, the two carriers also planned a series of additional non-scheduled flights to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, subject to slot availability and prevailing conditions at the departure stations.
Air India and Air India Express said they regret the inconvenience caused and remain committed to bringing stranded passengers home at the earliest opportunity.
