Star Air expands regional network with new routes and increased frequencies from Kolhapur, Belagavi


Star Air, the aviation arm of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, has announced plans to expand its regional network with additional routes and higher flight frequencies, focusing on improving connectivity from Kolhapur and Belagavi.

The airline said it will increase its weekly schedule from 455 flights to 550 during the summer season as demand across its network grows. As part of the expansion, the airline has launched a daily direct service between Belagavi and Mumbai. Kolhapur will see enhanced connectivity with flights to Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, along with connections to Kishangarh and Indore.

According to the airline, more than 85% of its flights departing from Kolhapur and Belagavi operate on schedule. Introductory fares have been set at ₹4,499 for Kolhapur–Mumbai and Kolhapur–Bengaluru routes, and ₹5,049 for Belagavi–Mumbai.
Star Air operates a fleet of 12 aircraft, including eight Embraer E175 and four Embraer E145 aircraft. The airline currently serves 31 destinations across India and said that it plans to expand its fleet to 25 aircraft over the next 36 months.
