Apple’s budget MacBook is launching early next month and the company will have many people excited for the new product.
Apple is bringing a new budget MacBook version this year and going by the official Apple teaser, we could see this product announced as early as next month. The company’s MacBook lineup has seen its price go up in the same fashion as the iPhone in the last few years but Apple could pull an ‘iPhone 16e’ in its MacBook universe and get more people to sign up and experience the Mac ecosystem without burning a deep hole in the pocket.

Apple’s new MacBook version is likely to sit below the Air variant in the lineup and priced well below it as well. We could see the company bring back an old screen size for the model and make some other concessions to keep the price down. The new MacBook variant could be priced around $599 which makes it closer to Rs 60,000 in markets like India.

Apple is expected to use the iPhone chipset (A18 Pro version) to power this MacBook variant which could help in a big way to keep the launch price low. Some might say that using iPhone hardware on a Mac could be limiting but Apple’s clear focus with this product will be basic users.

The MacBook is expected to come in colourful options and likely to feature a 12-inch display rather than 13-inch which was mentioned in earlier reports. The build quality could be less metal and more plastic but in the classic Apple fashion.

This MacBook model will also use the macOS version but powered by 8GB RAM means the performance and feature set could be limited in some form.

Apple is hosting a special media event in New York on March 5 where we could see the new colourful MacBook along with other devices like the iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4 and more.
