Google Pixel 10a has launched in the market this week and the new model is coming before Apple brings the iPhone 17e model to the country. The Pixel 10a is the latest from Google in its mid-range category and sits well below the premium versions but still brings some of the flagship features to a more accessible price.
The Pixel 10a has that familiar feeling with Pixel 9a, not only because of the way it looks and feels but also what it offers for the same price as its predecessor. So how does the Pixel 10a compare with the Pixel 9a, we decided to go in-depth and find the answer.

Pixel 10a has launched with a single 256GB variant in India priced at Rs 49,999. The Pixel 9a was also available for the same price but these days you can get it for Rs 39,999 in the country with the same 256GB storage as the lone model.

The Pixel 9a as well as the 10a feature a plastic back panel and an aluminium frame. The new Pixel phone comes at 9mm thickness and weighs 183 grams, while the 9a was marginally thin at 8.9mm but heavier at 186 grams. Both the phones come with IP68 rating which is becoming the standard option these days.
Coming to the displays, you have the same 6.3-inch pOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate but the Pixel 10a gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection (from GG 3) and the peak brightness has gone up from 2700 nits to 3000 nits. The bezels on the screen also look fairly same, thick and right in your face.

Pixel 10a is using the same Tensor G4 chipset like the Pixel 9a from last year. Both the phones come with 8GB RAM and are available with 256GB storage in India. Google is launching the Pixel 10a with the latest Android 16 version with the promise of 7 upgrades and security updates like the recent Pixel devices.

Pixel 10a gets the same dual rear camera system like its predecessor. It consists of a 48MP main sensor with OIS and 13MP ultrawide lens. The front of the phone has a 13MP shooter.
Pixel 10a vs Pixel 9a Battery And Charging
Pixel 10a packs a 5,100mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 10W wireless charging speeds. The Pixel 9a also had the same battery pack but the charging was limited to 23W and 7.5W in wired and wireless mode, respectively.
