Ixigo partners with OpenAI to scale AI across travel platforms and operations

Ixigo on Wednesday, February 18, announced an expanded partnership with OpenAI to deepen the deployment of artificial intelligence across its platforms and internal operations.

The travel technology firm said the collaboration will extend AI capabilities across its group brands, including ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus, with the aim of scaling AI integration in both consumer-facing products and enterprise systems.

As part of the partnership, Ixigo will adopt OpenAI’s Enterprise API to embed advanced AI tools and next-generation coding models into its technology ecosystem. The company said this will enable autonomous workflows and support applications such as automated agents, AI-assisted processes, contextual assistants and deeper research into AI-led travel solutions.
Ixigo added that it has already integrated AI across several business functions. Around 90% of its voice and chat-based customer support is automated, while AI tools are also used in software development, marketing, operations and other processes.

In 2025, the company rolled out “Project Trishul,” a three-pronged AI roadmap focused on improving efficiency, driving revenue and enabling technology-led disruption. The initiative aims to enhance monetisation, improve operational leverage and build multimodal agentic capabilities across its ecosystem. Ixigo said the OpenAI collaboration is expected to accelerate AI-driven coding, quality assurance and the creation of autonomous workflows across the organisation.

Commenting on the partnership, Aloke Bajpai, Group CEO of Ixigo, said in a post on X that the company is working with OpenAI to fast-track deep AI integration across Ixigo, ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus, deploying agentic AI internally and for over half a billion travel users to reinvent its travel technology stack.
