Android 17 version is already live, at least in the beta version for Pixel devices as Google enters 2026 with focus on making the latest number available at the earliest. The company did make a goof-up with the Pixel 9 launch when it did not have Android 15 (the latest version) available with the new devices.

Since then, Google has revised its schedule, which is why the Android 17 beta has started in February itself, with the official release expected not far from now. The Android 17 logo is out, the new version is also available over the air but only for its own devices as of today.

Android 17 Beta: How To Register, Install And Devices Supported

Android 17 beta is rolling out over the air but to get this update you need to sign up for the beta program from Google. Follow these steps to get Android 17 on your Pixel device:

  • Select the device, accept the terms and click on proceed

Google informs that you should avoid installing Android 17 beta on primary devices as the pre-release versions will contain bugs and errors that affect device performance.
