iPhone 18 series launch is expected later this year and if you are expecting for some big design changes with the new 18 Pro models, you’re in for some bad news. According to new details, the new iPhone 18 lineup (mostly the Pro) will look a lot like the iPhone 17 Pro models, with its rectangular camera module but most likely in different colours.
So, it is possible that when you face the iPhone 17 Pro next to the 18 Pro version when it launches, you might find both to be identical in their design and even finishing.
iPhone 18 Pro Design Tweaks: What We Might See
The news about the iPhone 18 Pro design has been shared by tipster Digital Chat Station who suggests Apple would rather focus on optimising the A20 chipset powering the devices. These new SoCs from the company are expected to be based on the TSMC 2nm process, which will be a first in the market for Apple.
We recently got a quick tease for the supposed design of the next iPhone. The iPhone 18 Pro leaked video from Prosser shows the lack of a wide notch for the Dynamic Island, instead it features a punch-hole cut out. This has been mentioned in earlier rumours and Apple seems to be moving the Face ID sensor under the display, which is a big feat for the company.
He also points out that the Dynamic Island will now sit under the tiny notch on the iPhone 18 Pro which will be intriguing to see work. The other big change could be in the camera department with Apple rumoured to offer a variable aperture system which will bring quality that we have seen with other flagship phones in the market. The video also highlights the iPhone 18 Pro launching in new colours like burgundy, brown and purple.
Many will be hoping that Apple bucks the trend and is not going to push the price range of the iPhone 18 Pro this year like every other brand has done so far.
