Google’s Gemini AI is looking to tempt more users to stop using other AI chatbots and this import tool come be very useful.
Google’s smart import AI tool could get more users to Gemini
Google wants more people to use Gemini AI chatbot and even ditch ChatGPT for that to happen. The company is reportedly testing a feature that will make it easy to transfer all your chats with the OpenAI AI chatbot and have them available on Google’s version.
Yes, the AI chat history import feature is being tested by the tech giant so that you can continue on the new AI model without having to start all over again and retain all the projects you have done on the previous AI chatbot of your choice. This is a lot like you trying to transfer WhatsApp chats from Android to iOS, except, you have the AI element involved.
ChatGPT Chats To Gemini: How It Could Work
Google knows that many people want to use Gemini but are now working around with ChatGPT because of all the work they have already done. This importing feature allows all of them to jump ship and that seems to be Google’s main focus with tools like these. The details about this feature are fairly sketchy and Google hasn’t really said much about it officially. But a new report has shed some light on how the AI chat history transfer could work for the users.
The Gemini web version has been spotted offering the import option in the beta version. It has been located in the attachment section and when you click on the transfer AI chat history option, Gemini shows a step-by-step process on how the importing will work. You can also do this for Claude or even Grok AI chats and get them all moved to Gemini.
The process looks quite simple but getting AI chats moved from one platform to a completely different ecosystem will be a challenge, especially with how the integration is done seamlessly. We hope to hear more about the tool and other features coming to Gemini over the next few months.
Google Maps is getting more AI-powered updates and this time it is linked to people walking or cycling. The AI model has become pivotal for its integration across products and Maps users are seeing new use cases for the technology built into the navigation platform for millions.
Walking and cycling are not the most popular modes in Maps but the company is giving those users the option to enter the AI version and go hands-free for their travel and movement.
