Samsung Galaxy S25+ has reportedly exploded after overheating while charging and the company has been summoned to look into the issue before it becomes a serious matter. The unit in question was the Galaxy S25+ model which was two-months old according to reports and was kept for charging overnight when the incident occurred. 

The explosion had some impact in the house of the victim, who saw a carpet burned along with other damages. The company has been investigating the matter over the last few days, and it seems to have found the root cause for the explosion and ready to help the user with further support. 

Samsung Galaxy S25+ Explosion Case: What Happened 

The user shared the story about the Galaxy S25+ incident via a post on Reddit. He claims the phone was charged using the company charger and cable which allows him to reach out to Samsung and seek their assistance. The fire department has also cited the explosion related to the temperature of the phone’s battery going beyond the normal levels. 

Company Reviews And Responds 

Samsung has done its own review of the incident and the company, quoted in this Android Authority report, is going to reimburse the person the cost of the damaged phone, and willing to pay for the medical expenses as well as any other damages to the house. 

That’s not all, Samsung is also going to pay a “pain-and-suffering” amount, probably to compensate additionally for the issues and the incident. The company has also assured that this Galaxy S25+ case is completely isolated and other S25+ users have nothing to worry about. 

Samsung has faced major issues because of phone batteries before, most notably the Galaxy Note 7 incidents. Since then, it has been extremely careful about its product development, which is why the recent event does come as a shock. 

Having said that, battery charging tips are extremely important to be followed and most people are advised not to charge their phones overnight without the required settings enabled to offset these overheating issues. It is also recommended that you use the original chargers with your phone, or at least buy from reliable brands that offer chargers with heat-resistant and overheating cutoff features.
