After her acclaimed role in the 2018 spy thriller Goodachari, Sobhita Dhulipala is set to make a comeback to Telugu cinema with Cheekatilo. The recently released trailer promises a gripping criminal drama, featuring Viswadev Rachakonda alongside Sobhita in key roles. Directed by Sharan Kopishetty, Cheekatilo is described as a tense and thrilling crime story set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving Hyderabad.
The film follows Sandhya, played by Sobhita Dhulipala, a criminology graduate and true crime podcaster. When a shocking murder unearths clues pointing to a serial killer active for nearly two decades, what starts as an investigative podcast turns into a dangerous pursuit. Using her podcast as a tool to expose the truth, Sandhya engages in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, blurring the lines between hunter and hunted.
The film is set to release on January 23 directly on Prime Video and will be available across 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Speaking about her character Sandhya, Sobhita Dhulipala said, “Playing Sandhya has been a wonderful experience. A Look At Cheekatilo Cast
Cheekatilo is directed by Sharan Kopishetty and produced by D. Suresh Babu under the Suresh Productions label. Chandra Pemmaraju and Sharan Kopishetty wrote the script. Viswadev Rachakonda plays a pivotal part in the film, which also stars Chaitanya Visalakshmi, Esha Chawla, Jhansi, Aamani, and Vadlamani Srinivas.
Sobhita was last seen in Monkey Man, marking her Hollywood debut alongside Dev Patel. The film received widespread acclaim, with Sobhita’s performance earning particular praise. She also starred in the Hindi-language film Love, Sitara, which premiered on ZEE5.
