iPhone 17e launch is once again making the headlines with many expecting Apple to bring the device as early as next month.
iPhone 17e looks to be the next mid-range variant from Apple and it is expected to launch as the successor to iPhone 16e early next year. Apple is expected to use the new A19 chipset to power the 17e model which should look like the first version.
Apple’s start to 2026 is expected to include multiple new products and this could have the iPhone 17e model from the company. Recent leaks suggest Apple is likely to bring the new MacBook versions later this month while keeping February free to announce the next-gen iPhone 17e model that will complete the 17 series lineup for the company.
And now it has been mentioned that the iPhone 17e mass production will be starting soon that puts the launch timeline getting close. This goes in line with the February launch for iPhone 16e last year. The new ‘e’ model from Apple is expected come with big changes
iPhone 17e Launch In February 2025? What We Know
The second version of the ‘e’ is tipped for a design overhaul. Previous leaks have suggested the iPhone 17e will look more like the iPhone 17 model albeit with some limitations to keep the launch price much lower.
This means the wide notch from the iPhone 16e could give way for the Dynamic Island which allows you to get live updates for delivery and cabs, along with other tasks like music playback. However, don’t expect premium features like ProMotion 120Hz display on the 17e, as it will continue to support the standard 60Hz refresh rate on the regular 6.1-inch OLED panel.
The affordable iPhone 17 model is tipped for a change with the selfie camera. Analyst Jeff Pu had said the new device will have the same 18MP front shooter as the premium iPhone 17 models.
This is a big upgrade because the new front sensor is squarish which allows you to take both portrait and landscape selfies without tilting the phone. However, the back of the device is likely to continue with a single camera module which hopefully gets an iPhone 17 upgrade as well. Apple is most probably going to call the iPhone 17e its most affordable once again but that won’t apply for markets like India where the Rs 60,000 segment has plenty of quality options.
In addition to the iPhone 17e we could also see the rumoured budget MacBook model unveiled around the same time and the early signs hint at a strong product that could have iPhone-like impact in markets like India.
