Infinix is going to bring this Apple-like feature to more users
Infinix is the latest and probably a surprising name to bring satellite-based communication support for its mobile devices. The company has confirmed the news at this week’s CES 2026 event in Las Vegas and shared the details about how this iPhone-like feature will be offered to the consumers.
Infinix has talked about its satellite feature for messages and calls that will be always-on and help you stay connected when you head out of the network zone. The new feature will be launching with the Infinix Note 60 series later this year.
iPhone-Like Satellite Tech For More Users
Infinix is one of the few brands that could democratise the premium satellite feature which has mostly been talked about for giants like Apple, Samsung and Huawei. The Infinix Note 60 series is likely to be a mid-range device and making this feature accessible to more users is similar to how the brand introduced MagSafe-like charging for its earlier Note models.
Infinix says its tech is built on a unified communication system, which will make it easy to switch between mobile and satellite systems, and doesn’t need any registration. The phone will allow people to make and even receive calls or send messages where they have zero mobile coverage.
The company has not talked about the satellite service provider which might still be up for discussion with various companies. Apple has used Globalstar for its own SOS feature since the iPhone 14 launch in the US market.
We are eager to see how Infinix pulls this one off and going by its other recent features, this should show more people about the use of the satellite tech, especially when the likes of Starlink are close to launching in markets like India later this year. Having said that this is still a novelty feature that most people might not even sign up for but Infinix can definitely make a shout for bringing it to more users before any other major brand.
