Motorola Razr Fold is the first from the company after launching multiple versions of the flip Razr device.
Motorola Razr Fold will be competing with Samsung and Google foldables
Motorola has moved beyond the flip style Razr model to announce its first ever book-style foldable at the ongoing CES 2026 in Las Vegas this week. The foldable market got a big shift in 2025 and this year could be one of its pivotal points as Apple also looks to join the party. After making multiple iterations of the flip Razr foldable, Motorola will be looking to use that experience and offer a premium foldable experience when it launches later this year.
The company has shared some of the details about the Razr Fold and kept some of them under the wraps for a later date.
Motorola Razr Fold Features Detailed
Motorola is using a 2K LTPO screen for the inner unit that gets an 8.1-inch display like most regular foldables in the market. The cover 6.1-inch OLED display is tall in profile and not a wide body model but lacks LTPO support.
There is a hint of crease in the display which is not surprising with most first-gen models. The company has not confirmed the chipset and the battery size for its Razr foldable but we expect the device to use the latest MediaTek or Snapdragon flagship hardware.
Motorola is offering the Android 16-based Hello UI with some Motorola pre-loaded apps. There is a Motorola Pen Ultra stylus support for the foldable, something that people have asked Samsung to offer with its own premium Galaxy Z Fold models. We hope Motorola bundles the stylus with the fold and not sell it as an additional accessory.
It will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which has been the trend with all foldables till date. While the battery details are not available, Motorola has detailed the camera specs that you can expect from its book style foldable.
It gets a triple rear camera system of 50MP Sony lytia sensor, a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide angle lens. The front has a 20MP internal and a 32MP external camera that supports dual side selfies and videos.
Going by these features, Motorola Fold is definitely going to be priced over Rs 1 lakh but does it go as high as the Samsung and Vivo foldables, we’ll know soon.
