Redmi Note 15 India launch event will see the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro launched

Redmi Note 15 is launching in India today and Xiaomi will be hoping to start the year 2026 with better things and higher expectations in the country. The Redmi Note 15 will be extending the popular lineup which has somewhat underwhelmed with the last few versions as the prices have made them less accessible than before. Redmi Note 15 hopefully reverts back to old form and gives buyers premium options without being priced high.

The Redmi Note 15 launch event in India is on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 and you can tune in to the livestream starting at 11:00 AM IST via the official YouTube channel. The Redmi Note 15 launch event will also have the Redmi Pad 2 Pro model announced.  

Redmi Note 15 India Launch Price And Specifications Expected 

Redmi Note 15 will get a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, as mentioned on a product microsite from the brand. The device will come with IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. Xiaomi is calling it the 108 MasterPixel edition which hints at a 108MP primary camera at the back. The phone is tipped to pack a 5,520mAh battery with 45W charging support.

We also hope Xiaomi can deliver the Android 16-based HyperOS 3 version for the Redmi Note 15 model in India rather than offering the HyperOS 2 version. Going by recent leaks, Redmi Note 15 will cost Rs 22,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB variant in India while the higher 8GB + 256GB model could be priced at Rs 24,999 in the country.  

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series prices have been on the higher end which has made it a tough sell for the brand and buyers have pivoted to others like the OnePlus Nord or even Nothing. Redmi Note 15 has to show the company has learnt from its lessons and is ready to take its mantle once again.
