Bruno Mars is all set to release his new solo album after nearly a decade. Following the release of his widely praised 2016 album 24K Magic, the upcoming one marks the pop icon’s fourth solo.
Following the announcement of Mars’ new album, HITS reports claimed the Grenade singer will drop a new single this Friday. If reports are to be believed, fans will get to hear the highly anticipated single ahead of the full album release.
Bruno Mars Announces New Album ‘Is Done’
Ahead of the 2026 Grammys, where the singer’s hit APT with BLACKPINK’s Rose is vying for multiple awards, Mars made the big announcements fans have been waiting for for almost 10 years. On January 6, he took to X and shared, “My album is done.”
Although Mars has not yet revealed the album title or any details, the post quickly generated significant buzz among fans. Mars’ announcement left the internet guessing hints of collaborations, new sounds and surprises, as they cannot wait longer for the release.
‘We’ve Been Waiting Since 2016’: Fans Took Over The Internet
Following the announcement, Bruno Mars’ fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming album. “Bruno, we’ve been waiting since 2016 for this moment! 10 years since 24K Magic, and the world is finally ready for a solo BM era again,” one fan wrote.
He continued, “You dominated 2025 with ROSÉ and Gaga, but there is nothing like a full project from you. Please don’t make us wait another week—drop the lead single and take over the charts again!”

Bruno Mars’ Major Hits in Recent Years
Following his 2016 triple-platinum 24K Magic, which took home a seven-Grammy haul, Mars collaborated with several artists. In 2021 he joined Anderson Paak to form the supergroup Silk Sonic, and together they released a studio album, An Evening with Silk Sonic.
The album included hits like Leave the Door Open and Skate. Mars has collaborated with multiple international artists on singles, including Die with a Smile with Lady Gaga, Fat Juicy & Wet with rapper Sexyy Red, Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson, Nothin’ on You by B.o.B, Billionaire by Travie McCoy, tracks with Cardi B, and APT with Rose, among others.
