Motorola could finally bring a Fold 7-like Razr Fold this year
The Motorola Razr family is finally going to have a bookstyle foldable device and we could hear more about the product in the next few days. The details about the rumoured device come via reliable tipster Evan Blass who has even shared a company teaser note which highlights the plans to make a Galaxy Z Fold 7-like foldable device and launch it within the Razr series.
The Lenovo-owned company has been in the foldable space for a while but strangely it has stuck to the flip style device rather than go big with the traditional fold model. And looks like that will be changing in 2026 with the company tipped to share some details about the device soon.
Motorola Foldable Launch Teased: What We Know
Motorola could use the CES 2026 platform to preview its first Razr Fold model, something that Blass has also hinted with his recent post. He also pointed out that Razr Fold will be coming later this year.
His teaser post leaked from the company also talks about intelligent AI, and an advanced boundary-breaking camera system which we are eager to see on a foldable and how it plans to offer them. This could be another big year for foldables because Apple is tipped to make its long-awaited entry into the segment with the iPhone Fold model later this year.
Motorola does have another product in the offing and we will be seeing it announced later this week. Motorola is bringing the Signature model to India and is tipped to feature a fabric finish on the back panel and we expect the device to have a sleek and lightweight design. The flat display is also likely to be part of the full package, and we could see the Signature model get another button which gives camera control or quick access for AI features.
We don’t know about the chipset powering the phone but we estimate this could be a Snapdragon 8 series chipset, or a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series version. The sleek design should not take a hit on the size of the battery and we hope to see at least 6,500mAh unit if not more.
