The Colombo consumer price index-based YoY headline inflation in Sri Lanka remained unchanged at 2.1 per cent in December last year, according to the country’s central bank.
Non-food inflation (YoY) accelerated to 1.8 per cent in the month from a 1.7-per cent recorded in November.

Meanwhile, core inflation (YoY) accelerated to 2.7 per cent in December 2025 from 2.4 per cent in the preceding month, a central bank release said.
Inflation projections made at the monetary policy round in November 2025 indicate a gradual acceleration of inflation towards the target of 5 per cent in the period ahead.
