Xiaomi 17 series is expected in India but many have wondered if the brand will bring all its devices to the market.
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is exciting but people in India might not see it
Xiaomi 17 series is confirmed to launch in India but unlike most brands we’ll be seeing the devices available in the early part of 2026 in the market. Xiaomi does have four new devices in the 17 series, which includes the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max (yes, just like Apple) that comes with a secondary screen at the back.
Many have estimated that Xiaomi will be launching all the big guns in India to showcase its ambitions in the premium segment. But a new tip suggests we might only see two of these Xiaomi 17 series phones in the country.
Xiaomi 17 Series For India But Which Models?
Xiaomi 17 series launch in India has been teased by the company without exactly confirming which models will be making its way to the country. Now, the brand has seen two of its 17 series models spotted undergoing certification in India. And there was no sign of the 17 Pro models.
This more or less confirms that the Xiaomi 17 Pro series is likely to be reserved for the Chinese audience. We got a closer look at the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max version with the rear screen and it does look intriguing. Having said that, Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected for India like the 15 Ultra version from this year, and that will also have people excited for another Ultra coming to our shores.
Xiaomi 17 sports a 6.3-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage that are paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The new phone gets Android 16-based HyperOS 3 version out of the box. It has a 50MP triple camera system with Leica-tuned lenses. And finally you have a 7,000mAh battery this year supported by 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds.
Xiaomi 17 price in India should be around Rs 75,000 but it could easily cross the 80K mark this time around when it launches. And going by other premium devices, the 17 Ultra price in the country could be well above Rs 1 lakh when it launches next year.
