The year 2025 has seen the budget phone market go up the price ladder but people got more options to choose from.
After covering the 2025 round-up for top flagship phones, it is time to eye the bigger pie, which is the budget phone segment which has somewhat been re-energised this year. Brands like Vivo, Realme and Infinix have continued to deliver products but you’ve also got Oppo and Nothing joining the ranks and offering devices to buyers that may have been missing from the price range.

Nothing got its sub-brand CMF to launch a mid-range phone in the form of the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It is powered by a Dimensity 7300 Pro chip, comes with triple cameras (50MP main + 50MP telephoto + 8MP ultrawide), and sports a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, all while including the charger in the box. It features Nothing OS 3.0, AI integration via an Essential Key, 33W charging, and a 5000mAh battery, aiming for the sub-₹20k market with features like IP54 rating and expandable storage.

Oppo’s K13x focuses on design and durability. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The design of the phone is sleek at 7.99mm and weighs 194 grams. But the highlights are military-grade protection, IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and the screen supports wet touch feature. The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging speed.

Vivo T4x is another device which makes its place because of the massive 6500mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G chip, and durable, military-grade design with IP64 rating. The phone features a 120Hz display and 50MP main camera but the battery supports 44W charging speed.

Realme has an ‘x’ phone in the lineup as well and it is called P4x. It packs a large 7,000mAh battery with 45W charging support available. The device measures at 8.39mm in thickness and weighs 208 grams.
It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone comes with IP64 rating which is quite common in this range, but you have a cooling system as well.

And finally, you have to include the GT 30 from Infinix which is one of the few that caters to gamers in more than one way. It features a 144Hz AMOLED display, and powered by a Dimensity 7400 chipset. The phone gets GT shoulder triggers and capacitive buttons that can be customised for games. It also comes equipped with the 3D vapour chamber cooling system and other enhancements to improve the gaming performance without heating up.
