Google Pixel 8, 9 and 10 users are getting another update
Google Pixel update is rolling for Pixel devices who are getting the December 2025 version, along with a slew of problems getting fixed for select Pixel phones. Google has already offered the main December 2025 Pixel Drop with new features and security patches but now some users are getting another update this month which is not as heavily loaded as the first version.
Many Pixel 8, 9 and even the 10 users have confirmed the update roll out in countries like the UK, and parts of US with some in India also getting the small update.
Pixel Update 2 For December 2025: What It Fixes
The new Pixel update is available over the air and comes at around 27 MB without any specific mention of new features but does talk about fixing bugs on the Pixel devices. The latest Pixel update in December 2025 fixes these bugs:
- Battery drain: Unusually faster battery running out than normal
- Touch input issues: Users facing touch failure issues, particularly on the Pixel 10 series devices
- Content access issue: Some users were unable to access their local content after moving from Android 14 to the 16 version.
Google is bringing extended warranty support for Pixel 9 Pro and the 9 Pro Fold models. The new extended support caters to the devices riddled with manufacture-linked functionality issues which could be display, or other hardware issues.
This is a global initiative so people in India using any of these devices and facing such problems can seek out help from the company. It is available as a free of cost service but the company is only admitting units that either have the vertical line issue on the display or facing the flickering display problem.
Google says that the support is available for limited units, and you need to make sure the device has not been damaged (cracked display) or any liquid has seeped into the unit. The company recommends people to either visit the Google support centre or even apply for the offer online. The replacement unit will come with a 90 day warranty as well.
