Argentina’s apparel imports surge 101% in Jan–Oct 2025, led by China

China’s share of Argentina’s apparel imports increased to **.** per cent from **.** per cent a year earlier, highlighting its ability to rapidly scale volumes, offer competitive pricing, and meet fast-turnaround demand as import conditions normalised. Vietnam ranked second with imports worth $**.** million, although its market share slipped to *.** per cent from **.** per cent, suggesting that growth lagged behind the overall market expansion despite higher absolute volumes.

Bangladesh emerged as the third-largest supplier, exporting $**.** million of apparel and accounting for *.** per cent of total imports, more than doubling shipments from $**.** million a year earlier. The increase reflects Bangladesh’s strength in cost-efficient basic apparel categories, which are in high demand amid inflation-sensitive consumer spending. Cambodia also recorded strong growth, with imports rising to $**.** million and a *.** per cent share, benefiting from competitive pricing and expanding manufacturing capacity. Peru supplied $**.** million, representing *.** per cent of imports, supported mainly by regional proximity and niche product segments.
