Amazon AI is now making its way to Kindle helping out users with responses and queries about a book or novel.
Kindle users are getting this useful AI feature
Amazon is taking AI to its Kindle users with a new helpful tool called Ask this book which as the name suggests will offer inputs by browsing the internet and give you the details. There might have been instances where you read a book and wanted to check something for which you need to access search on the internet.
Ask this book is probably going to save you that additional effort and give you the answers directly within the device. AI chatbots are the flavour of the year and Amazon is making them do the hard work on your behalf.
Ask This Book: How Kindle Answers Your Queries
The AI-powered feature is built to give you responses based on the characters of a novel, giving you a broader picture of the storyline without ever going overboard with the details and spoiling the title for you. You can easily select a part of a paragraph and long-press to get the Ask this book option. There are some predefined queries to choose from or you can type your own questions.
Ask This Book is an AI feature which Amazon is offering for its Kindle users with the iOS app in the US and its Android launch is expected sometime next year. The feature is already compatible with thousands of English titles.
Enabled By Default For Everyone
Amazon usually gives users the choice to use its features but Ask this book is reportedly going to be on all the time. More importantly, if writers and authors want to disable the AI feature for their book, they are out of luck, since the company doesn’t have opt-out support for the AI chatbot for their books. The AI feature is also making sure the content delivered cannot be copied or even shared with other people.
Alexa+ is the new-gen voice assistant from Amazon but its availability is fairly limited and users in markets like India still can’t try out the latest version. The Gen AI model of Alexa comes in both free and paid versions.
