OnePlus Turbo could be China-bound for early 2026 but we expect markets like India to get it at a later date.
OnePlus Turbo could be its gamer-focused lineup
OnePlus 15R is launching in India this week but the brand is already planning for another lineup called the OnePlus Turbo series. The brand has confirmed this via a post this week which also talks about the focus of the new product and how it is likely to become an integral part of its portfolio in the next few years.
The name itself suggests that OnePlus wants to focus on the performance-centric segment and Turbo could be the ideal brand name to make it obvious. The OnePlus Turbo series is expected to make its debut sometime in 2026 but that’s all we know for now.
OnePlus Turbo: Do We Need It?
OnePlus has a number flagship series, the Nord lineup and the Turbo will be added, at least for buyers in China. The company’s chief in the region has confirmed the plans for the Turbo series and it is likely to be an extended part of the family. Initially we could see it launch in China with other markets like India likely to feature later.
The company wants to focus on the Turbo phone with the strongest battery life in its segment, along with strong performance. This sounds a lot like the Ace/R series OnePlus phones but the Turbo could be part of a more premium range for the brand.
Could it surpass the OnePlus 15 in the lineup as its flagship? We’re not sure about that. It is most likely going to be gamer-focused which means that OnePlus could pitch against the likes of iQOO and even the Realme GT series in the market.
Going by these details, you might see the Turbo launch with the latest (or one-gen old) flagship chipset and priced just below the flagship model.
The OnePlus 15R is getting its global debut this week in India along with the new OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet and the Watch 2 Lite model for other regions. The new ‘R’ model from the brand is likely to be priced under Rs 50,000 for the base model in India with some bank offers.
