Motorola Edge 70 is the new sleek iPhone Air rival at a lower price

Motorola Edge 70 has launched in India making it the new phone to entice buyers to upgrade. The company’s new device is lighter and thinner than its predecessor and made its debut in China with the ‘Air’ moniker like the iPhone Air but at a lower price. Motorola is using a mid-range Snapdragon chipset, offering a triple rear camera system and packing a silicon carbon grade battery with support for fast charging. The design of the phone has been solidified with IP ratings as well. 

Motorola Edge 70 Price In India 

Motorola Edge 70 price in India starts at Rs 29,999 for the single 8GB + 256GB variant in the country. There is a bank offer on the phone that gives you a Rs 1,000 discount with select cards. Motorola Edge 70 will go on sale from December 23 in the country. 

Motorola Edge 70 Specifications 

The new Edge phone sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display but it is the design where it grabs the headlines. It features a sleek 5.99mm frame and weighs just 159 grams but is still made with aircraft-grade aluminium that gets military-grade standard protection along with IP68 and IP69 ratings.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, most likely with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and it comes running with Android 16-based Hello UI software out of the box. You can access Gemini, Copilot or even the in-house Moto AI suite for different AI tools on the device.

The company is promising three OS upgrades and four years of security patches for the Edge 70, and you have a 5,000mAh battery packed inside the device that supports 68W wired fast charging along with 15W wireless charging speed. 

The new Motorola phone is also confirmed to come with a 50MP triple camera system which includes a main wide sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens and possibly a 50MP telephoto lens. 

Many expected Motorola to price the phone much higher but this becomes a really good sleek option for buyers in the market.
