Motorola Edge 70 finally has a confirmed launch date for the Indian market and yes it will be happening this month itself. This is likely to be the global variant of the Moto X70 Air that looks to compete with the iPhone Air with its sleek design but offered in a much lower price bracket. Motorola is using a mid-range Snapdragon chipset, offering a triple rear camera system and packing a silicon carbon grade battery with support for fast charging.

Motorola Edge 70 India launch is on December 15, 2025 and the company has confirmed the date via a social media post this week. The new Motorola Edge phone will be available across online and offline stores in the country. It has even set up a microsite for the product where some of the specifications have been revealed.
Motorola Edge 70 Specifications And Expected Price In India
Motorola Edge 70 is more or less the X70 Air variant for the Indian barring some alterations to make the product more appealing. The new Edge phone sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display but it is the design where it grabs the headlines. It features a sleek 5.99mm frame and weighs just 159 grams but is still made with aircraft-grade aluminium that gets military-grade standard protection along with IP68 and IP69 ratings.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, most likely with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and it comes running with Android 16-based Hello UI software out of the box. You can access Gemini, Copilot or even the in-house Moto AI suite for different AI tools on the device.
The company is promising three OS upgrades and four years of security patches for the Edge 70, and you have a 5,000mAh battery packed inside the device that supports 68W wired fast charging along with 15W wireless charging speed.
The new Motorola phone is also confirmed to come with a 50MP triple camera system which includes a main wide sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens and possibly a 50MP telephoto lens. Going by these features we expect the Motorola Edge 70 price in India to start around Rs 35,000 which is going to be a competitive segment for the product.
