Samsung Galaxy S25 series with a very important update for December 2025 that many users are waiting to install. The company has started the rollout with its home region this week and we expect other countries like India to get the One UI 8 update soon. This is an important update because of the recent Android security risks that have been highlighted both by Google as well as the Indian government in its latest bulletin for the users.

Samsung has worked on all these issues and delivered a heavy duty update that seems to be handling all the concerns, so updating the Galaxy S25 phone is not only important but an immediate need for all of them. 

Galaxy S25 December 2025 Update: Why It Is Important? 

The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra users in South Korea are reportedly getting the new Android December 2025 security patch which is around 579 MB in size and that tells you the quantum of issues Samsung had to fix for the devices. Having said that, we don’t see the Galaxy S25 Edge mentioned by the tipster which suggests the company could be still working on the update for the sleek device and roll it out later. 

The December 2025 update is claimed to fix a massive 57 security vulnerabilities which explains the size of the download that users need to install on their Samsung phones. We expect the other Galaxy devices to get this update in the next few days or even weeks. Samsung will also need to quickly bring the Android update for all its users in other markets at the earliest. 

The company is also busy with its first tri-foldable device called the Galaxy Z TriFold which got an underwhelming launch recently. But like most products, this one had more interest because of its expected price tag. Apple is likely to unveil its iPhone foldable next year, and Samsung already has multiple generations of the regular Fold in the market.

So, the TriFold is more of a bigger bet to show its innovative prowess in front of the world, even though it is not the first to bring the product. 

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is tipped to be priced around $2,500 (Rs 2.67 lakh approx) which makes it costlier than the most premium Galaxy Z Fold 7 2TB model in the market.

More importantly, Samsung is going to start selling the unique product in South Korea from December 12, 2025 and after that it will be coming to markets like China, US, Singapore and the UAE among others. India is missing the phase 1 launch cut which is not surprising but we hope to see it launched in the country sometime in 2026.
