IndiGo meltdown: SpiceJet rises to the rescue with 30 emergency flights from Delhi and Mumbai

SpiceJet has moved quickly to ease pressure on India’s aviation network by introducing nearly 30 additional flights from Delhi and Mumbai, following severe disruption caused by IndiGo’s ongoing operational crisis. With thousands of passengers scrambling for alternatives, the low-cost airline headquartered in Gurugram has stepped in to provide much-needed capacity on two of the country’s busiest routes.

The airline announced that 15 additional flights would operate from Delhi and 14 from Mumbai, covering a mix of high-demand domestic sectors and select international destinations.

Among the added overseas services are evening departures to Dubai, along with a late-night connection from Delhi to Bangkok. The enhancements will absorb the surge in displaced passengers who have been struggling to secure seats amid widespread cancellations.
