iPhone 17 is the most improved model in years and Apple could be forced to bank on its popularity to increase the price in India.
iPhone 17 is a hot seller in India and that may spell bad news
Apple launched the iPhone 17 series in September and if you have been planning to buy the model we suggest you do it quickly. A new tip suggests Apple could hike the iPhone 17 price in India by up to Rs 7,000 and if that doesn’t sound appealing, it might be high time you make the purchase right away.
The details about the possible price hike have come via tipster Yogesh Brar, who has even cited the reasons for this revision amid high demand for the new iPhone 17 model in the country.
iPhone 17 Price Hike Likely: But Why?
The tipster suggests the iPhone 17 starting price in India could increase to Rs 89,990 but that will be before the bank offers discounts. This hints at a Rs 81,000 price tag for the base iPhone 17 model if these revisions are official.
So what could force the company to increase the iPhone 17 prices? The tipster says the demand is high but Apple is running low on stocks which could prompt the brand to make this tough call. Having said that, one could also link the fluctuating currency value which has a direct impact on the prices of these products and Apple has done this before.
That’s not all, the ongoing demand for memory to run AI is being heavily attributed to cause a major jump in component prices and Apple will either have to absorb the cost or invariably pass it onto the consumer. Which is why the bank offer could one way to offset the price hike and still tempt people to upgrade to the new iPhone 17 model.
It is interesting that the tipster doesn’t talk about the iPhone 17 Pro prices which tells you the demand for the base model this year could have easily surpassed Apple’s own pre-launch estimates.
iPhone 17 is one of the most improved base models from the company in years. This version now starts at 256GB and you also have the ProMotion 120Hz display, something that Apple had reserved for the Pro models earlier. Even the cameras have gotten better and you only have the regular variant, as the Plus version has given way for the sleek and premium iPhone Air model.
