Anthropic launched its new ChatGPT 5.1 rival in the form of the Claude Opus 4.5 model this week. The new version of Claude 4.5 version gets agentic AI abilities like the other recent AI models from OpenAI and Google as the users get wider options to try out their experience and tools.
The successor to Claude 4.1 is also getting better with coding and contextual reasoning as the use case for these AI tools advance with the need to earn revenue from businesses.
Claude Opus 4.5 AI Model: What’s New
Anthropic has developed the new AI model with focus on using less computational power by reducing the number of tokens required to execute the same tasks. The main area of improvement with Claude Opus 4.5 is code generation, long-context reasoning and agentic AI tools.
With the demands for AI computing hardware going through the roof, the Claude Opus 4.5 changes could become pivotal to how the industry shapes its own system with less need for hardware and no compromise in performance.
The new model is targeting the enterprise segment where the demand for coding is much higher and so the AI agents are capable of running the parallel system and keeping everything in sync. Anthropic has run internal tests with the Claude Opus 4.5 model and other benchmark tools which it claims got higher scores than GPT 5.1 and Gemini 3 Pro with 80.9 percent in the agentic coding segment.
The biggest change with the new Claude version is that the company is selling it at a lower price than the competition which is surely going to appeal to companies who are looking to adopt the latest AI tools without incurring high costs but get the same performance.
These benchmark scores are subjective and it seems every company has the lead over other AI models. Anthropic is doing the same and it is not surprising. But getting more people to try out the Claude Opus 4.5 ensures the model evolves and learns on better quality dataset.
