India advance to the blind women’s T20 World Cup final against Nepal after beating Australia.

India triumphed over Australia on Saturday, November 22, advancing to the final of the first blind women’s T20 World Cup against Nepal, who bagged their spot by beating Pakistan in Colombo.
India won the first semi-final by nine wickets, while Nepal reached Sunday’s final at Colombo’s P. Saravanamuttu Stadium with a seven-wicket win against Pakistan.
Australia’s Chanakan Buakhao top-scored with 34, leading their side to a total of 109/9 in their 20 overs. India’s Simranjeet Kour bowled two overs, taking 1-6. Australia suffered six runouts.
Basanti Hansda was India’s top scorer with 45, while Ganga Kadam (41) and K Karuna (16) remained not out, taking India to the finals with 112/1 in less than 12 overs.
In the second game of the day, Nepal won by seven wickets after restricting Pakistan to 169/6 in their 20 overs. Despite losing two quick wickets, Nepal managed a comfortable win.
Pakistan’s poor bowling performance contributed to Nepal’s success, conceding 47 extras, the highest score for Nepal.
Nepal’s Binita Pun scored 46 off 23 deliveries before being ruled out hit wicket, while Susma Tamang remained not out on 36.
Pakistan’s Shumaila Kiran was the best bowler with 1/10, while Mehreen Ali ended with 1/45.
The final will be played on Sunday, November 23, at the Saravanamuttu Stadium, the oldest Test venue in Sri Lanka.
