AppleCare+ gets new features and plans in India
Apple has introduced its monthly AppleCare+ plan in India this week which allows more users to try out the support service and also claim if you lose any Apple device. The company talked about the new changes in the US earlier and now it is being extended for users in India where you get theft and loss damage along with priority support for any issue or replacement.
iPhone sales have gone up in the country over the last few years so having options beyond the current annual AppleCare+ plan allows more people to get safety support.
AppleCare+ New Plans In India: How Much These Cost
The new AppleCare+ plans in India for Apple devices start with a monthly price of Rs 799 so that people don’t need to take the annual or 2 year plan they are offered while buying a new device.
The new theft and loss plan for iPhone is also now available in the country which lets you claim for two incidents or theft or loss in a year. The annual plans are still there but people trying out the service for the first time might use the monthly versions.
AppleCare+ Plan Benefits For Buyers
AppleCare+ is the extended warranty service that is offered after your regular one year product support expires. You were able to take it around 2 years earlier but the monthly plan might give people more flexibility based on the need and budget.
The damage protection support has been lauded for Apple’s strict policies and people are able to get a replacement unit if all the terms are agreed. You also get priority 24/7 support, along with battery replacement service and no limit on the number of repairs for accidental damages.
Many have claimed the service is expensive but once they actually make use of the investment they see good value for the Apple experience. Most people tend to take iPhones but other products like MacBooks are also covered as a different package.
