Hailed nationwide for their spectacular performances in India’s historic ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 victory, Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma are all set to appear on an episode of the famous show ‘Two Much’, hosted by popular actresses Twinkle Khanna and Kajol.
The two young Indian cricketers were spotted by ‘Viral Bhayani’ on the set of the show aired on Amazon Prime. In a series of images and videos, a viral post unveiled Rodrigues and Verma in stunning avatars, looking incredibly fashionable and cool.
Fans loved and adored their gleeful images and videos, perfectly capturing the two players’ great vibe and happiness since lifting the ultimate crown on November 2 with a victory against South Africa.
Taking their youthful exuberance to the show, Rodrigues and Verma are expected to retain their flair and style in front of Khanna and Kajol and speak about their careers and journey towards becoming world champions.
Rodrigues overcame personal battles and raised her stocks as a batting prodigy by producing a sensational century in the semi-final against hot favourites Australia. On the other hand, Verma proved to be a comeback queen as she smashed a vital 87 in the final versus the Proteas.
21-year-old Verma wasn’t even selected in India’s World Cup squad originally, but an injury to fellow opener Pratika Rawal gave her a backdoor entry and an opportunity she desperately wanted. After missing out in the semis versus the Aussies, Verma reserved her best for the summit clash and laid the foundation to India’s winning score of 298/7.
She also proved to be a golden arm with the ball, taking two crucial breakthroughs for 36 runs off her 7 overs to be awarded the player of the match.
For Jemimah, her sensational knock of 127 not out gave the team and the nation belief that the dominant Kangaroos can be beaten at the world stage, which then reflected in the team’s confident and nerveless showing versus the South Africans.
Playing delightful strokes under pressure, the cricketer showed her skill and mettle and helped Harmanpreet Kaur’s brigade chase down the massive target of 339. She finished the World Cup with 292 runs in seven innings at a fantastic strike-rate of 101.03.
