Microsoft is giving free Copilot AI and Personal 365 plan to students for 12 months but you need to hurry up for this offer.
Microsoft is luring students with its own free Copilot AI offer
Microsoft is joining the freebie bonanza and offering access to Copilot AI features for students free of cost. This offer is available for 12 months which is similar to Google’s Gemini AI offer for students in select countries.
The company is bringing the freebie offer just like other tech giants as they look to jumpstart their AI ambitions and accrue more data to make it happen faster. Microsoft’s offer is not available everywhere and it has put some strict conditions along with a limited window within which students can sign up for the offer.
Microsoft Free Copilot Student Offer: What Are The Terms?
The free Copilot student offer is available till November 30, 2025 which is the last date by when you can take the deal from Microsoft. The company needs people who are in college or going for their PG degree to sign up for the offer, and they also need to be studying for a degree course from a registered college or university.
This is definitely more stringent than Google, which only wants the student to use their college ID to sign up for the Gemini free offer. The free plan is available if you are in the UK, US or Canada with India not given in the list.
Microsoft Free Copilot Offer For Students: What You Get
The Microsoft free student offer includes Microsoft 365 Personal plan along with Copilot AI features. This plan can be used across up to 5 devices using the same account. You get access to Outlook, Word, OneDrive and other Microsoft apps with all the premium features and benefits.
The Copilot assist will work on these apps and you also unlock other options like deep research, podcast and vision on the AI chatbot. Students can also experiment with varied AI models and use the image and video tools integrated in Copilot. And yes, 1TB storage on the Microsoft cloud is also part of the free offer.
In India, you’ve got Google’s 18 month Gemini AI Pro offer with Jio 5G plans, while Perplexity has teamed up with Airtel for all its customers. OpenAI has introduced its own free ChatGPT Go offer in the country.
