India spinner Varun Chakravarthy will be leading Tamil Nadu at the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that starts from November 26.

India spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been appointed as the captain of Tamil Nadu for this season’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, starting nationwide from November 26. Chakravarthy recently contributed significantly to India’s 2-1 T20 International series victory in Australia, where he took 5 wickets across three matches.
Narayan Jagadeesan will serve as Chakaravarthy’s deputy in the premier T20 tournament. The squad also features left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore and the promising Andre Siddarth. Additionally, India left-arm seamer T Natarajan has been included.
Tamil Nadu, currently having a modest run in this season’s Ranji Trophy, is placed in Elite Group D alongside Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Tripura, Jharkhand, and Saurashtra. They will begin their campaign with a match against Rajasthan in Ahmedabad.
