L&T Share Price Today: Shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) jumped over 2% on October 30 after the engineering and infrastructure major reported its Q2 FY26 results. The stock hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 4,048 in early trade as brokerages turned more optimistic, with Motilal Oswal raising its target price.
Q2 Highlights
L&T reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,926 crore for the July–September quarter, up 16% year-on-year from ₹3,395 crore. Revenue rose 10% YoY to Rs 67,984 crore versus Rs 61,555 crore in the same period last year.
Brokerage estimates have pegged revenue growth at 15% YoY to Rs 70,818 crore and net profit at Rs 3,990 crore, indicating a miss on the top line and broadly in-line earnings.
The company also posted a robust 45% YoY surge in order inflows, led by its core engineering and construction (E&C) business.
Brokerage View
Motilal Oswal raised its target price on the stock to Rs 4,500 from Rs 4,300 while retaining a ‘Buy’ call, implying nearly 14% upside from the previous close of Rs 3,958.
The brokerage noted that revenue lagged estimates due to weaker-than-expected E&C performance, but highlighted strong order inflows as a key positive. It expects domestic order revival and non-core asset monetisation to drive further re-rating.
Stock Performance
L&T shares have gained over 3% in the past week and more than 10% in a month. The stock is up nearly 21% in six months and trades at about 30x earnings.
It is currently more than 36% above its 52-week low of Rs 2,965.30, hit in April 2025.
